How the idea began ...
Gagged, stunned, and gassed by Mister J himself, this all started out as some sort of experiment, some sort of crazy idea.
We are here to do his bidding.
He hand selected us from a group and forced our heads together to make us think, plot, plan and scheme on how to take him one step closer to his goal: Batman. We hope you’re reading this Batty.
We come from all across the continent but meet at a secret dwelling, a secret cave if you will to discuss the happenings in the world of our Mister J. We are his Henchwomen and it is a title each of us carries most proudly.
Some of us draw, some of us write, some are experts with computers and web design, all of these tools we use to his advantage.
We hope you enjoy this little tribute to our favorite comedian and the man chosen to play him. He always has to keep them guessing you know.
We'll see you soon.
Our Goal & Mission Statement ...
An all inclusive, interactive fan site dedicated to Heath Ledger and his portrayal as The Joker in Chris Nolan's sequel to Batman Begins, The Dark Knight.
Who we are ...
Alexis is a rock star.
Branwen is a Jack of all trades, master of none: artist, writer, scientist, witch, and introvert extrordinaire who plies her craft in the scorch of interior California, she is keenly intrigued by Heath Ledger and had only recently become a Coulrophile when she'd heard Heath had been cast as the Joker for The Dark Knight. She likes green hair and wide smiles.
Frumious Jabberspawn is a Digitial Multimedia Designer by day and a villainess by night. This crazy Canadian chick loves fighting in hockey, Canadian football, and the Alberta Rockies. She finds enjoyment in writing, shopping in used bookstores, and raising havoc. She believes it is her duty in life is to corrupt young, innocent minds. Though she worked on the web design for the site, Frumious Jabberspawn would like to point out that while she may be a dork and possibly a bit of a geek, she is not a nerd.
Phoenix Faith is a southern girl who enjoys spending her free time reading, writing, collecting vinyl, wearing Converse and playing piano. She no longer lives in the South and has no plans to return. She actually feels sorry for and relates to The Joker on a lot of levels and please, no angry and confused e-mails asking as to why. Phoenix Faith worked on the information for Heath's filmography for the site.
Ruth has worked as an artist in the digital entertainment industry for the past, oh, twentyish years, and one of her greatest joys is "drawing fun stuff". Her very first comic book loves were Iron Man and the Avengers. She just about wet her pants when Heath was cast as the Joker — it seemed too good to be true — just like chocolate and peanut butter, they are two great tastes that will taste great together, of that she is certain.
Soho grew up in Brooklyn and a part of her still lives there. She loves film and books, even though it takes her months to read or watch anything. The Killing Joke is one of her favorite Batman stories. Except that it's a Joker story so ...
