Heath was intense, but laid back, too.

Christian Bale's June interview in Details provides us some insight into how Heath was on set. As always, Christian's words are very heartfelt.

How has Ledger's death changed the way you look at the film?

Naturally it was something I wanted to share with him—and expected to do so. And I can't do anything else but hope that it will be an absolutely appropriate celebration of his work.

The Joker is Coco the Clown on Crack...

We love Gary. This is a small Q&A where he mentions briefly his take on how Heath's Joker is.

He wanted it to be more realistic and darker and edgier rather like the comic book, and so the inspiration for the Joker is punk, which explains the colored clothes and so it is very sort of Johnny Rotten, very punk. The smile and the scars from a razor and he's got like a sort of rinse, a green rinse that remains there in his hair, and so you look at him and he’s very forbidding and not like a clown. It's very dangerous, very unhinged. It’s like Coco the Clown on crack.

First TDK TV Spot - Fear Toxin Anyone?

The TV spot is a little grainy, but if you head on over to SHH, you'll see the first TDK promo for TV, aired during Survivor. A few new shots not scene in the trailer are in the promo, including a spectacular neck crack from Mr. J himself. We hope that some of the high-quality promos will make it onto the web soon!

Cinemablend: Batman 3 Scoop?

We're taking this very early report of Batman 3 with a grain of salt. But it does mention the fate of The Joker, so we felt compelled to take a look and see what Nolan and Co. might do.

Make no mistake by the way, Joker really is out of the picture after this movie, at least according to our source. We’re told that the Joker indeed was supposed to be back for another film, and that they did consider simply recasting the part for the inevitable Batman 3, but that those plans have been scrapped after the tragedy of Heath Ledger’s death. Joker has been written out of the Batman 3 script.

Joker's Wild: Ledger Dolls Fly Off The Shelves

We realize part of the thrill is the chase. But even we found it be a bit incredulous that people were hoarding Joker dolls to sell on Ebay. We're just glad we've got our dolls already.
