Award Season "For Your Consideration" site is up!

Warner Brothers is gearing up for awards season, with a new site and some new-ish pictures. Keep an eye out, as this will continue to be updated as awards season kicks into high gear! Also of note, something we all knew, but now confirmed, WB will be lobby for a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Heath.

Heath Nominated for AFI Award for Best International Actor!

In what we hope will be the first of many, Heath has been nominated for AFI's Best International Actor - an award he won in 2006 for Brokeback Mountain. Congratulations to our boy!

Chris Nolan's Three Part LA Times Interview!

We would put this interview in the 'must read' category. A great three-parter with Chris Nolan, where he discusses TDK, the possiblity of a third Batman film and the possiblity of Heath being nominated for an Oscar

I think the thing that has always been important to me in light of Heath’s death is the responsibility I’ve felt to his work. The responsibility of crafting the film in such a way that his performance came across the way he intended. Clearly, that has been the case. That’s one of the reasons I take such pride in the film.

We're enternally greateful to Chris for preserving the film as is, and not changing it, and realizing the gravity of what he had to edit and craft. Not only that, he's a hell of a nice guy, too.

Heath is one of AskMen's Most Influential!

The votes are in, and Heath is on the list! AskMen's 2008 Top 49 Most Influential Men Poll drew over 200,000 votes, and we're happy to say that Heath is number 39 on the list! We're also going to mention that he should be higher, and that if you think so too, take the poll on AskMen!

So why is Heath on the list? Well, we could name multiple reasons, and perhaps, take up most of the news with it. But we'll leave you with what AskMen said of his performance and his impact:

Heath Ledger’s death added a disturbing aura to his last -- and perhaps finest -- performance as the Joker in The Dark Knight. Producers of the film toyed with the idea of removing his image from the movie’s promotional campaigns before finally deciding to put his face front and center. Their gamble paid off, and The Dark Knight shattered Spider-Man 3’s record for the biggest three-day opening weekend of all time before going on to collect nearly $1 billion worldwide. Heath Ledger’s fearless performance in the film serves as a haunting reminder of the remarkable career he could -- and should -- have had.

Also notable, Christian Bale made the list, coming in at Number 7. Congrats to both!

The Dark Knight Sweeps Spike TV's Scream Awards!

Screw the Oscars! Tune in tonight at 9pm for Spike TV's Scream Awards. The Dark Knight took in an astonishing 12 awards, including the big award of the night, The Ultimate Scream.

Heath won multiple awards for his portrayal of The Joker, taking in two big awards of the night (Best Actor and Best Villain) as well as delivering the best line of the year. We can't say we are surprised (of course we're not) but we can say we are thrilled! Congrats to the entire TDK cast and crew on their achievements! A special shout-out to Robert Downey Jr., Gary Oldman and Christopher Nolan (hey we're fans of theirs too!) on their wins. Also thanks to Gary for accepting Heath's award on his behalf. Thanks for always staying classy, Gary!

Chelseagrin - Moving Forward

Thank you to everyone that has supported us over the last year. As TDK mania winds down, the site will continue to provide news and picture updates, as they come. With the re-release of TDK in January to IMAX and the potential award season frenzy, we look forward to providing any updates, including news about the third (and final) movie in the Christopher Nolan trilogy.
